Our Services

Gas Analysis

Our testing service for coal seam gas, natural gas, liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas at atmospheric and high pressure includes:

• Chromatographic analysis of gas from C1 – C8+ including N2, CO2, calculated density, molecular weight, gross and nett heating values and Wobbe Index.
• Extended gas testing to C14+ including BTEX
• Analysis of greenhouse gas and low level hydrocarbons for industrial and process gases
• Additional gas components (CO, H2, He, O2, Ar)
• Calculated hydrocarbon dewpoint
• Mercaptan/THT odorant content in fuel gas or LPG
• Headspace analysis C1-C6
• Contaminants (see Field Services)

Lubricating Oil Analysis

Bureau Veritas’ oil analysis laboratory is capable of providing a complete picture of machine and lubricant performance in a very wide range of industrial and commercial applications. Some of the tests provided are:

• Wear metals, metallic additives contaminants
• Viscosity
• Water content
• Fuel dilution
• Total acid / Base number
• Dispersancy
• Particle quotient index
• Microscopic examination and digital microphotography

Liquid Hydrocarbon Analysis

A wide range of physical tests according to ASTM or equivalent procedures can be performed on products including:

• Petroleum liquids (Diesel, Jet, ULP etc)
• Biofuels
• Crude Oil (including True boiling point distillation, LPG – 540ºC according to ASTM D2892 and D1160).

Field Services

Sampling of pressurised and atmospheric gases and liquids at your specified location as well as the collection and/or analysis of:
